The conversation explores how the program gives high school students early exposure to teaching through coursework and hands-on experience, with the goal of identifying and recruiting prospective teachers locally. They also share their research findings, which reveals that these types of programs do increase studentsݮý interest in teaching.
ݮýTAM increased the likelihood of students becoming a teacher,ݮý said Blazar. ݮýThere were also measurable impacts on other outcomes, including high school graduation and type of college enrollment (four-year vs. two-year college).ݮý
